A Matriarch Effect Summer Series
This is not a studio. This is not a setup.
This is a Thursday afternoon in June,
and nobody is asking them to be still.

The hose is running. The pool is full. Someone just got a face full of water and they're already reloading.
The Yard is a seasonal outdoor experience built around one simple truth: childhood is loudest in the summertime — and it doesn't last.
We set up the pools. We fill the water balloons. We hand them the squirt guns. And then we get out of the way
and let them absolutely lose their minds — while I document every glorious, chaotic, soaking-wet second of it.
No poses. No "look at the camera." No wiping their faces before the shot.
Chaos Is Real Life
The muddy knees. The wild eyes. The moment they dumped a bucket of water on their little sibling and laughed like it was the funniest thing that ever happened. That's not a distraction from the portrait — that is the portrait.
Summer Doesn't Wait
Next summer they'll be a little taller, a little quieter, a little further away. The version of your kids that exists right now — this loud, soaked, completely alive version — that one is only here for a minute.

I don't direct. I document. You play with your kids. You chase them. You get splashed. I stay behind the lens and catch everything that happens when you forget I'm there.

A note on what to wear: Bright or colorful swimsuits. Coordinating colors for siblings — not matching. No white (it goes sheer and we will not stop the hose for it).
Leave the fancy stuff at home. This is a Tuesday afternoon in the backyard, and that is exactly the point.
